Mike Neeley
drums, vocal

Mike is a Portland native who spent a large part of his childhood living overseas. Mike officially began playing the drums at age 11. While overseas, Mike had an opportunity to study African drumming with a music professor and drum master at the University of Harare, Zimbabwe. Mike moved back to Portland in ‘79 and began playing in local night clubs by the age of 17. In the early 1980’s Mike attended Mt. Hood Community College to study Jazz, music theory and play in the renowned Mt. Hood Stage band.

In the Mid 80’s Mike played in Local Portland rock bands such as China Watch, DVS, Monarch, and many others. In the 90’s Mike got into the blues and played with bands like The Kita Montgomery Band, Zacharias and the Blue devils and recently with the funky New Orleans Zydeco/blues band, The New Iberians.

Now in the Rock and Roll band, Network, he draws from childhood heroes like John Bonham, Stewart Copeland, and Keith Moon to lay a solid beat that keeps the crowd dancing all night.
